Our optical intruder warning system is based on FBG sensors and a Crystal Grating Multi- Wavelength Meter as the interrogator and may be used in different types of peripheral intruder warning systems, both above and below ground.
The system has the ability to identify dynamic disturbances, pinpoint their locations, characterize the disturbances, thus reducing the number of false alarms.
The system is comprised of a broadband light source, FBG sensors and a Crystal Grating interrogator, which are all connected via an optical circulator. Four fibers, each up to 50 Bragg sensors, enter the optic interrogator. An optical selector with four positions connects one of the fibers to the optic interrogator for a certain period of time, in a circular fashion.
